1. Privacy policy
It is the declared aim of jobchannel ag to provide services, which can be used predominantly anonymously. We only require personal data that are indispensable to the use of our services and we leave the use of your personal data and who can access said data to your discretion. We guarantee that all personal data entrusted to us will be treated confidentially and we ensure that we collect such data with the greatest care, treat them as strictly confidential, and handle them appropriately. In doing so we adhere to legal requirements and the principles below. By submitting your personal data, you agree to the personal data being processed and used for the performance offered by jobchannel ag under these principles.
2. Collection and storage of data
2.1 Data entry
All data entrusted to us are stored in the jobchannel ag database, treated as strictly confidential and not passed on to third parties without your consent.
2.2 Registration for job seekers
As a job seeker, you can create a profile through the services offered by jobchannel ag. The personal data included in your profile is left to your discretion. The scope of data needed as well as the manner of processing the data follows from the description of the corresponding services.
2.3 Storage of access data
a) Cookies
jobchannel ag uses so-called cookies in order to enhance the user experience while using our online services and to be able to provide users with more personalized services. A cookie is a text file that is saved by a web browser either temporarily in a customer’s computer storage (“session cookie”) or on a customer’s hard disk (“permanent cookie”). Cookies help us generate statistics and information about traffic to and usage of our online services. In this way, we can generate better quality and more relevant search results for users. Users have the option to prevent the acceptance of cookies with personal data at any time by configuring them accordingly. In principle, the services of jobchannel ag can also be used without accepting these cookies.
b) Logfile
Upon accessing the website, general access data shall be stored in a log file for the purpose of compiling statistics. This applies specifically to:
- Date and time of access
- Name of the file accessed
- The state of access (ok, partial contents, document not found, etc.)
c) Tracking and Analysis Tools
jobchannel ag uses a variety of technical tracking and analysis tools for measuring and analyzing the website usage. Such measurements are anonymized and without cookies, unless analytics and marketing cookies are activated by the user. In this case, personal data is also collected, especially for re-marketing purposes. In doing so, it is possible that collected data is passed to third-party providers by either jobchannel ag or by the third-party provider of such systems themselves to third parties in order to process the data. 2.4 Personal Data Storage
Personal data is stored in a form, which facilitates the identification of the concerned person only for the time required by the purpose, for which the data is processed. At the point of deleting the user account, all personal data is erased from our systems.
In exceptional cases, only a short-term storage of the data is required (maximum 14 days).
According to article 5 it is possible to request the deletion of all personal data stored by jobchannel ag.
3. Data security
jobchannel ag maintains technical and organizational measures to protect the security of all personal data against accidental or unlawful alteration, loss, deletion, or access by unauthorized persons. Our safety measures are consistently being improved in accordance with the technological development. jobchannel ag will not take responsibility for any loss of information or access to and use of data by unauthorized third parties.
4. Offers of third parties
jobchannel ag also presents through its services third-party offers and/or provides links to third-party offers and websites on its website. jobchannel ag assumes no liability for the collection and processing of personal data by said third parties. The data protection regulations of the third parties in question will apply, and we recommend that you always refer to these prior to using their services.
5. Modification or deletion of personal data
Every job seeker can change or delete their profile at any time. The deletion of data can also be requested by sending an email to info@jobchannel.ch. When using certain services, the job seeker instructs jobchannel ag to enter or modify their profile. In such cases, jobchannel ag is entitled to access the principal’s profile data and to process the profile to the best of its knowledge and belief in accordance with the order. The respective principal is responsible for checking their own data after using such a service.
6. Right to information
Every user of services provided by jobchannel ag has the right to receive upon request and free of charge information about the personal data stored about them. Please direct all questions on the subject to info@jobchannel.ch. Questions relating to our privacy policy should be addressed to info@jobchannel.ch as well. We always try to answer your inquiries as soon as possible.
7. Changes to the privacy policy
jobchannel ag reserves the right to amend the privacy policy at any time. In the event of fundamental changes of our privacy policy, jobchannel ag will announce these changes on its website and such will become effective within 30 days of their publication.
8. Language Versions
In case of contradictions or inaccuracies between different versions of the present Privacy Policy, the German version shall prevail.
